About

LeeAnna profile

I’m a South Georgia Transplant. I moved to this part of world more than 15 years ago and have only just begun to feel that it is home. There are a number of contributing factors to that, but I now find myself happy to put down roots here and nourish them along.

I have started this blog with the intention of truly knowing my “new” home and maybe, finally, establishing some deep roots in the red clay and sugar sand of South Georgia.

I am a passionate writer and I love photography. I hope to put both skills to good use on this blog as I write about the things that make this place unique.

I am an amateur gardener and I will be sharing some of the trials and tribulations – and maybe a triumph or two – as I attempt to grow things organically, putting my own idealistic views to work (and to the test) on my own little patch of the planet.

I am also embarking on an endeavor to visit each of the 63 State Parks here in Georgia. I will be sharing my experience, photos, information and even some tips!

Please join me on this journey! And if you enjoy the ride, please feel free to invite your friends.

I want to visit the Seven Wonders of Georgia before the year is out. You will not be dissapointed with the beauty this state has. I’m looking forward to you sharing your adventure.

thank you for your blog, I look forward to your discoveries both with your GA parks, and your organic gardening. I’ve always thought my thumbs were purple, however, weeds I do well at. Live and learn…. Will share some fla parks with you!! ❤ the journey.

    1. I don’t know what color my thumb is, but I wouldn’t call it green! I do like to try to garden though! Every time I plant one, I thank God that I don’t depend on my own skills to provide my food. 🙂 It gives me a great appreciation for those who can do it well and it makes me not complain about the prices when I go to the Farmer’s Market.
I look forward to hearing about the parks in Florida! And thanks for taking this trip with me.

My bucket list includes Massee Gardens, Gibbs Gardens, Athens Botanical Garden, Atlanta Botanical Garden and photographing old churches and old, crumbling structures.

    LeeAnna,
Thank you for being a kind soul and responding to my inquiry regarding my 15 year old son and your ongoing investigations into wilderness therapy.
